Reconnect Service
Boonjaga Munggurra (Remember Home) Eurobodalla Aboriginal Reconnect Service is a Reconnect Service in the Eurobodalla local area that provides a free, confidential and safe place for young Aboriginal and Torres Islander people aged between 10 and 18 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and their families to come to when facing difficult times. Our service is available to families who are willing to work together to reduce family breakdown. We can provide support to both the young person and their family.
Reconnect can help young people to:
- Work things out with their family.
- Stay in school when it gets tough.
- Link into programs that provide employment and training options.
- Obtain income support, if eligible.
- Address dependency issues (alcohol and drugs).
- Find somewhere safe to stay if necessary.
Reconnect can help parents, guardians and families to:
- Work things out with the young person.
- Find the best way to talk things through.
- Learn to live together when things are hard.
- Learn to live apart, but stay connected.
Boonjaga Munggurra Aboriginal Reconnect Service offers:
- Case Management for young people and their families.
- Family mediation is offered.
- Specialist counselling.
- Group activities.
- An outreach service…our workers will come to you.
